The Belief: Trump is a great businessperson

People who support Donald Trump believe his excellent business skills make him the best candidate for the White House. Do the facts support these beliefs?
INTRODUCTION
People who support Donald Trump often say good things about his business skills, which make him the best to sit in the White House. They believe that with his many skills, he is best to make America great again – whatever that means. Here are some of the reasons they mention that make him an excellent business person:
Real Estate Success. - Supporters talk about his success in buying, selling, and developing properties, especially in big cities like New York.
Job Creation - Many believe he created jobs through his businesses, which they think is good for the economy.
Negotiation Skills—He is often described as a good negotiator, meaning he can make deals that benefit him. Some believe this helps in politics, too.
Business Experience - Many supporters think that because he has run businesses, he knows how to manage the economy well and make good decisions for the country.
Helping Industries—Supporters believe his plans can bring back American industries, especially manufacturing jobs, and make America great again.
There is no doubt that millions believe Trump is a superior businessperson, which makes him more than suited to be President. But are their beliefs supported by the facts? And it is the facts that matter.
TRUMP’S SOCIAL MEDIA COMPANY
Anyone who believes Donald Trump is a brilliant businessperson needs to look at Trump’s Social Media company. The company’s reporting for 2023 shows revenue declined by 12% to just $3.6 million, resulting in a loss of over $400 million for the year.
Included in Trump's report were admissions about his other business results. These statements, outlining his many business bankruptcies and people he has screwed over put into question people’s beliefs about Trump being a great businessperson. The reporting includes the following statements:
Several companies that were associated with Donald Trump have filed for bankruptcy. There can be no assurance that the Trump Media Company will not also go bankrupt.
The Trump Taj Mahal, which was built and owned by Donald Trump, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1991
The Trump Plaza filed for bankruptcy in 1992, along with the Trump Castle.
The Plaza Hotel filed for bankruptcy in 1992. Trump took it back and filed again in 2004.
Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc., the new name given to Trump hotels and casino resorts after the 2004 bankruptcy, declared bankruptcy again in 2009
There are also several companies that Donald Trump has been involved in through licensing agreements that have gone bankrupt.
The Trump Shuttle defaulted on its loans in 1989 and in 1990 was shut down.
Trump University, founded in 2005, ceased operations in 2011 amid lawsuits and investigations into its business practices. Trump University faced two class actions in federal court. The lawsuits centered around allegations that Trump University defrauded its students by using misleading marketing practices and engaging in aggressive sales tactics. Donald Trump paid a $25 million settlement.
Trump vodka was introduced in 2005 and ended in 2011.
Trump Mortgage LLC, a financial services company founded by Donald Trump in 2006 ceased operations in 2007
Go Trump.com, a travel site founded by Donald Trump in 2006, ceased operations in 2007
Trump Steaks, founded by Donald Trump in 2007, lasted two months.
While all of these businesses were in industries different from Trump Media Group, there can be no guarantee that Trump Media's performance will exceed the performance of those entities.
In addition to the above 16-odd business failures since 1991, Trump is an adjudicated rapist, a 34-count convicted felon, paid off a porn star, and slipped out of facing espionage and insurrection charges.
CONCLUSION
Does this all sound like a deep state conspiracy beginning in 1991 to make Trump a victim? Or could it be that he has brought all this on by himself? To be a conspiracy, the Grand Juries in several jurisdictions and juries would have all had to have been part of it, going back as far as 1991.
And let’s not forget that he was found guilty of being an insurrectionist, and the Supreme Court, his Court, did not even address the issue – they had the chance to get him off the hook, but they did not.
I am not here to suggest what you should think, but it is hard to understand how anyone can still believe Trump to be a super businessperson. This is a big part of the persona that catapulted Trump into the White House, and it may be time to reassess the beliefs.
@openyourojos and all those who voted for Trump, does any of this make any difference?
